Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, driven Industrials and Utilities Analyst to join our global team. This role focuses on analyzing how the rapid growth of AI and datacenter infrastructure is transforming the power grid, utility investment cycles, electrical equipment providers, and industrial sectors more broadly.

As an Analyst, you will lead and contribute to in-depth, forward-looking research that informs the largest asset managers, energy firms, and infrastructure providers globally. You will uncover emerging market trends, map technological and regulatory shifts, and assess capital flows in real-time. Your insights will help guide strategic decisions across the AI and industrial infrastructure landscape.

This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates must be based in a European time zone or Eastern time zone, with a minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in equity research (sellside) or investment analysis (buyside).

Responsibilities
  • Lead research and analysis across the power grid, utilities, and industrial infrastructure sectors as they relate to AI and datacenter expansion.

  • Produce high-impact research reports, forecasts, and briefings for clients, drawing on both public and proprietary data.

  • Track and evaluate developments in transmission and distribution investment, regulatory changes, equipment supply chains (e.g., switchgear, transformers), and the broader capex cycle.

  • Assess how AI infrastructure demand is reshaping utilities, EPCs, and electrical equipment manufacturers across regions.

  • Collaborate closely with semiconductor, datacenter, and AI infrastructure analysts to generate cross-sector insights.

  • Support clients including hedge funds, infrastructure investors, hyperscalers, and policymakers with bespoke insights and thematic research.

  • Present research findings to senior leadership teams and engage in client calls and conference presentations.

Requirements
  • 2–5+ years of professional experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a strategy role covering industrials, utilities, or energy sectors.

  • Strong grasp of financial modeling and valuation techniques.

  • Deep interest in how AI and compute infrastructure are transforming traditional industries.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills, with experience crafting investment memos, deep-dive reports, or market primers.

  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization and/or scripting (Python, SQL, etc.) is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, globally distributed team.

  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

  • Located in a European time zone or Eastern time zone (EST) (required).

Growth Area
  • Deepen expertise in power systems, grid infrastructure, and energy markets, particularly as they relate to AI-driven electricity demand and datacenter expansion.

  • Expand coverage into adjacent sectors such as renewable energy integration, energy storage, and grid modernization technologies.

  • Develop advanced financial modeling capabilities, including scenario analysis, capex forecasting, and valuation of infrastructure-heavy businesses.

  • Build cross-domain knowledge linking semiconductors, datacenters, and power infrastructure to produce differentiated, system-level insights.

  • Strengthen client-facing skills, including presenting to institutional investors, leading discussions, and shaping high-impact advisory conversations.

  • Enhance data analysis capabilities using Python, SQL, and visualization tools to support more dynamic and scalable research workflows.

  • Progress toward a senior analyst or lead role with ownership of sector coverage, research direction, and direct influence on client strategy and investment decisions.
