Position Title: Regional Finance Assistant
Location: SOEE Dublin head office (Ireland)
Department: SOEE Finance
Reporting to: Senior Vice President Finance, Grants and Human Resources

Salary: € 39,185.39 – € 42,412.13

Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to provide financial assistance to the regional senior vice president finance for SOEE and SO Europe Eurasia Foundation (SOEEF). The key responsibilities are to support the management, control and report on all financial aspects for SOEE and SOEEF including various grants and fundraising activities that have been secured from the EU, Foundations and other stakeholders across the Europe Eurasia region and global.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Handle e-mail queries relating to SOEE and SOEEF financial activity, responding promptly to requests for payments, reimbursement of expenditure, information and/or assistance
  • Assist with administration duties associated with the work of grants
  • Assist in the co-ordination and maintenance of all documentation in relation to all grants
  • Assist Vice President with grant financial tasks, and financial reporting requirements
  • Liaise with National Programs in relation to grant application and management and work with colleagues in relation to same
  • Manage staff grant timesheets
  • Assist with administration, budgetary preparation and bank payment duties associated with finance of SOEE and SOEEF
  • Support Grant team with planning and performing the activities noted in grant agreements
  • Maintain the regional fixed asset inventory register
  • Support regional team with information technology software and hardware operational queries
  • Offer regional team with Human Resource and Data Privacy/Protection administration support
  • Project Management support to team events
  • Other related ad hoc duties as required and assigned by the Senior Vice President Finance and Managing Director of SOEE

Required Qualifications/Skills:


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or related field
  • Finance related qualification
  • Strong financial project management skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft software
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English and/or other languages
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to travel as required
