Operates quarry heavy equipment, including wheeled loaders and 360 excavators, to load and haul materials from the quarry face to crushers. Runs processing systems, performs first-line maintenance and housekeeping, and follows strict health, safety, and environmental standards. The role requires shift and weekend work, quarrying experience, equipment-operation qualifications, and strong safety awareness.
An exciting opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and positive individual to work as a member of the Quarry Production team at Dowlow Quarry. Shift working will be a requirement of the job role, including some weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating to high health, safety and environmental standards.
- Loading at the face with either a wheeled loader or 360 excavator.
- Hauling materials from the quarry face to the crusher.
- Operation of the processing systems.
- First line maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above, Maths and English
- Operation of wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications, ADT & rigid truck operation or processing plant experience
- NVQ level 2 or MPQC qualified in truck, excavator and loader operations
- Excellent safety awareness
- Operational experience in quarrying
