Job Description:

Ipsen in Ireland is represented by a dynamic state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, creating API for our key products. We currently have an opportunity for a QC Technologist to join our Quality Control team on a 1-year fixed term contract basis. Hours of work:10am-6.30pm Mon-Thurs, 10am-5pm Fri.

The purpose of the QC Technologist role is to perform the analysis of API and raw material samples in a timely manner according to approved analytical procedures. To develop their technical skills through training in diverse techniques. Perform troubleshooting as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete the analysis and analytical write up of QC data as required for the testing and release of the following materials: Raw Materials, In-process intermediate samples, API’s, stability samples and environmental samples.

  • Perform analytical troubleshooting as required to ensure all scheduled testing can be completed in line with KPIs.

  • Complete support activities within the lab such as reagent and consumable ordering, stock check and ensuring 5S standards are maintained.

  • Perform all testing activities in line with SOPs and EHS standards.

  • Complete document updates as required through use of Easidoc system.

  • Attend and engage in daily and weekly team meetings to ensure all materials are tested and released on time and to ensure any delays or issues are escalated in a timely manner.

  • Compiling Metrics to display performance for Quality Control Laboratory.

  • Liaise with QA personnel to ensure delivery of QC data in accordance with the production plan.

  • Execution of Quality Connect workflows for Change control, Unplanned event and OOS records. Completing thorough root cause investigations for OOT/OOS results. Determining appropriate Corrective and Preventative actions.

This is a pivotal role for the site, requiring advanced analytical skills ideally at BSc level, and a track record in laboratory testing, ideally in a GMP regulated environment.
