We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing, and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, building a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey.

What You Will Do

Outsource QA Leadership & Management
You will lead and manage multiple outsource development QA and functional QA teams, ensuring they are aligned with project goals, quality standards, and Scopely tenets. You will own the project’s playtest program, and partner closely with Production to deliver a robust, risk-driven Release QA process. This includes day-to-day oversight, performance management, and fostering strong working relationships with vendor leadership.

  • Own vendor onboarding, training, and ramp-up processes in collaboration with internal QA, IT, and Production
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Scopely QA standards, workflows, and tooling
  • Lead vendor performance management, including feedback cycles, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Run Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and operational check-ins with outsource partners
  • Ensure test plans, test cases, and execution strategies are aligned with project risk and development priorities
  • Oversee defect quality, triage processes, and reporting standards across outsource teams
  • Collaborate closely with internal discipline leads to anticipate risk, dependencies, and quality impacts

Budget & Operational Management

You will manage the outsource QA budget, ensuring spend is aligned with project needs while delivering high-quality results in a cost-effective manner.

  • Forecast and manage outsource QA spend across development phases and release milestones
  • Partner with Production and Finance to balance capacity, scope, and budget constraints
  • Identify efficiency opportunities through process improvements, tooling, and resourcing strategies

Release QA Management

You will own release quality from a QA perspective, partnering closely with Production and Live Ops.

  • Coordinate QA readiness for releases, updates, and submissions
  • Ensure appropriate test coverage, certification requirements, and quality gates are met
  • Provide clear quality status, risk assessments, and go/no-go recommendations
  • Support post-release reviews and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement

Playtest Ownership

You will fully own the playtest process for the team, ensuring playtests deliver actionable insights that improve product quality and player experience.

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate internal and external playtests
  • Partner with Design, Production, and User Research to define playtest goals and success criteria
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback into clear, impact-driven insights

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, software development, or a related field
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or projects, including outsourced QA partners
  • 2+ years leading testing initiatives across development and release cycles
  • Proven experience managing outsource QA vendors, including audits, performance management, and QBRs
  • Experience supporting games releases from a QA perspective - experience within games is essential!
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and defect management workflows
  • Experience with QA tooling such as JIRA, test management systems, and reporting dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor capacity effectively
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of live operation workflows, including patch validation, incident response, and ongoing quality monitoring
  • Open to regular travel as part of the role
