Requirements
About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a QA Lead within the QA Team at Davy. This is an ideal role for a Senior QA professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can deliver work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with the ability to take full ownership of projects and can champion quality throughout the full software development lifecycle.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
● Deeply understand the business domain, customer needs, and regulatory context of financial services
● Act as the main QA point of contact for business and technical stakeholders
● Shape, own, and continuously improve the overall testing
● Recommend process improvements and refinement of QA practices across teams
● Ensure quality is embedded early in the delivery process
● Balance hands on testing with leadership and strategic responsibilities
● Lead, mentor, and support other QA team members
● Analyse and clarify requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
● Assess risks, prioritise testing accordingly, and proactively communicate issues
● Track quality issues, provide clear reporting, and drive resolution
● Define and monitor quality metrics
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
● 10+ years of experience in software testing
● 5+ years in leading projects and resources
● Proven experience managing mainframe projects
● Experience shaping and implementing testing strategies
● Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
● Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments
● Experience with standard testing and defect-tracking tools and QA processes
● Experience working in Waterfall and Agile teams
● Bachelor's degree or comparable knowledge and experience.
