KONE is looking for a Project Manager (Lifts) to join our Installation team in Dublin.

As a Project Manager, you will be the interface with all key stakeholders during the project. You coordinate the activities of your assigned projects to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within the agreed schedule and budget, using approved KONE methodologies and tools. You will be in daily contact with our clients, subcontractors and your KONE colleagues (supervisors, fitters, quantity surveyors, planners, document controllers). You will be the coordinator, keeping all parties working together smoothly.

What would a typical day look like?

  • You will be overseeing and monitoring the execution of Lift installation projects
  • You will be in direct contact with our clients. You are their main point-of-contact for their questions and concerns
  • You will review project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
  • You will establish a work plan and staffing for each phase of project
  • You oversee the planning of delivery and storage of materials to the site(s)
  • You coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • You aim to be an energizing leader who gets the best of others and strives to exceed customer expectations

Job requirements and qualification:

  • A degree qualified engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Building services preferably or other similar technical qualifications); Quantity Surveyor with site management experience will be considered. Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Contract Administration are desirable, but not essential.
  • Currently working as a Project manager / Contracts manager with a medium to large contracting organisation
  • Preferably 5+ years of industry experience (building, civil engineering, or lifts)
  • Ideally have worked on 2 large (>€5M) and led at least 2 projects or elements of projects >€1M
  • Mixture of both site and office experience
  • Portfolio/programme management – familiar with project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project & Excel, familiar with orderbook management dashboard systems.
  • Financial management – pricing works, preparing variations, budgeting, cost control and monitoring.
  • Health and Safety – CIF IOSH Managing Safely in Construction is an advantage
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors

  • Strong organisation skills that allow you to coordinate complex projects
