Job Description

AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer with relevant, planning and design experience.

The candidate will join our Highways and Transportation team, to be based in one of our Dublin, Galway or Cork offices. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility, and comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work on major projects across a broad range of disciplines, including asset management, design and project management. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who can articulate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders in a manner which is clear and easy to understand.

Desirable skills / attributes:

  • Educated to degree level 8/9 (engineering degree).
  • Experience in drafting contract documents including works requirements and specifications.
  • Experience in the full project development cycle including feasibility studies, preliminary design, planning, detailed design, tender document preparation and contract administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and under own initiative to achieve project goals.
  • Candidate must have ability to communicate effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • Computer literate.
  • Technical design experience and writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail particularly in preparing and reviewing complex documents and drawings.
  • Full driving licence.

  • Flexible approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.
  • Positive outlook and approachable manner.
  • Well-motivated and able to work as part of a team or alone when required.
