We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a PROJECT ENGINEER – TEST at our facility located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will be responsible for leading a team that ensures structural components, systems and trucks are robustly validated.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Provide onsite supervision and mentoring to Test Engineers, Test Technicians and Drivers.
- Prioritise and direct day-to-day work.
- Identify and resolve issues by working closely with design groups, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Create and execute test plans for components, systems and trucks.
- Validate and develop software.
- Develop product, including coordinating engineering concept builds.
- Provide recommendations for design optimisation via benchmarking, team design reviews and product teardowns.
- Implement data acquisition schemes/programs. Analyse test data.
- Communicate within both informal and formal settings. Make presentations to Senior Leaders. Create written reports for data and knowledge retention.
- Occasional business travel may be required as necessary.
To be considered for this position, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:
- Degree in Engineering
- 7 years industry experience
- Significant experience in vehicle/automotive technology, test practices and procedures
- Resource planning and supervision experience
- Able to demonstrate business acumen, results focus, innovation and conceptual thinking, self-development and development of others, effective leadership, teamworking and ability to develop strong working relationships.
