Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Production Supervisor – Permanent, Full-time

Ready Chef are seeking an experienced Factory Supervisor to work within a busy department where you will be responsible for producing orders on time to our customers and managing the staff within the factory on a day-to-day basis.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure that production meets quality standards set by the company.
• Responsible for coordinating shifts, arranging schedules and monitoring employee performance
• Review manufacturing processes for efficiency, noting areas for improvement and researching alternative machinery, equipment or modifications
• Train operatives in all aspects of production in order allow managerial flexibility in times of worker absences or vacations
• Adequately ensure HACCP standards are met.
• Maintaining or exceeding goals on yields, productivity and efficiencies
• Understanding and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ensure compliance with established standards and procedures involving safety, sanitation, good manufacturing policies, housekeeping and other department programs
• Coordinate staffing on a daily basis in line with budgets
• Input data into Prophet, and other in-house software programs
• Effectively and timely communicate appropriate information daily, weekly and monthly to all direct reports and peers
• Attend weekly department meetings

Requirements:

• 1-year previous supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of product quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Previous experience in a factory environment (preferably fresh produce)
• Ability to read and interpret production performance reports
• Forklift experience is preferred but not essential
• Available to work afternoons, nights and weekends (current shift is 15:00 – 00:00) and roster is typically 5 days over 7
