Product Portfolio Manager- HD Map

HERE Technologies is looking for a Product Portfolio Manager to be part of HERE Maps & Services (M&S), which sits at the core of what HERE does as a leading mapping and location company.   

The role is to define and drive execution of the HERE HD Map specification and content provisioning roadmaps, that allow internal and external customers and partners of HERE to efficiently implement their HD Map use-cases such as Autonomous Driving and highly accurate Digital Cockpit-like visualizations for advanced navigation/guidance.   

Responsibilities: 

• Based on input from the HERE Vertical Business Units (Automotive and Multi-industry) and available market insights, you will work closely with the HD Map Product Managers in M&S to define and maintain an up-to-date and forward-looking HD map specification & provisioning strategy
• You will facilitate the HD Map Product Managers in M&S to
  • define their long-term rolling content roadmaps for the HERE HD map offering (g. features, coverage, inclusion) 
  • prioritize HERE Engineering efforts with regard to HD content roadmap execution and timely delivery
  • define, monitor, and provide updates to the M&S Management Team on key metrics related to the HERE HD map 
• You will also provide support to Sales and Support functions within HERE on any topics related to the HERE HD Map (features, attributes, roadmap, readiness, key metrics,), including support for tenders, RFI/RFQs where required
• Your responsibilities will include the following day-to-day engagements
  • Customer program support, including customer-facing engagements such as regular status meetings
  • Internal teams support such as HERE SDK, NDS Live, …
  • HD Map issue ticket analysis and prioritizations
  • HD partner map onboarding support (g. Japan)
• Your responsibilities will also include maintaining the following HD map-related documentation.
  • Internal coding specification
  • External/customer-facing HD delivery format specifications (g. HDLM Native, HERE Lanes Native, …)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, Preferably in the area of complex systems & design or high-volume spatial data processing
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product or Portfolio Management.
• You have managed complex software and/or Map data products or Location Services in the past. If you have experience doing both it is a plus. 
• You can convey complex technical solutions in audience-friendly terms, up to VP level, in English and/or German. 
• You always put the product perspective and voice of the customer in the center, you look at technology to solve a business problem in an efficient and economical way, not the other way around. 
• You are obsessed with digital map-making that has a tangible business and industry impact, in particular HD Map content.You can translate strategic and tactical product definitions into a detailed and highly accurate HD Map specification, so the HERE Map Making unit can develop the applicable tools and coding/validation processes.
• You are skilled at working effectively with globally dispersed cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse personality types and job functions spread over multiple continents. 
• You can work on both strategic/tactical as well as operational levels, you're a team player who likes to work within a collaborative environment. 
• You have a very good understanding of agile methodologies, and can apply these in your daily work. 
• Fluency in English is a must, and German is a big plus. 
• Willingness to travel (max. 20% of your time)
