Lead product optimization and growth strategies through data-driven methodologies and experimentation, enhancing customer acquisition and retention to drive revenue growth.
As the Product Optimisation & Growth Lead at Smartbox, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing our Test and Learn and growth hacking strategies across the buyer product. This commercially-focused, data-driven position requires a strategic operator who can define and scale an experimentation-led approach to growth. You will be accountable for driving customer and revenue growth by enhancing acquisition, retention, conversion, and lifetime value—leveraging continuous testing, data insights, and innovative tactics to unlock new opportunities and deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own, design, and execute Smartbox’s Test and Learn and growth hacking strategies to optimize and accelerate product performance.
- Leverage advanced analytics and data-driven methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate tests, customer segmentation) alongside innovative growth techniques to drive insights and impactful product decisions.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute growth experiments to rapidly scale customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue generation.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX/UI, Analytics, Marketing, and Technology teams to define hypotheses, run experiments, implement successful findings, and develop scalable growth initiatives.
- Analyze
experimental results, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring rapid implementation of successful optimizations and growth tactics.
- Establish and maintain a structured feedback loop to ensure that experiment results and key learnings are shared broadly and used to inform future product and growth initiatives.
- Work closely with Engineering to establish agile, high-impact ways of working that support rapid experimentation and delivery.
- Ensure results are shared widely through structured feedback loops, reports, and dashboards.
- Continuously monitor and assess the impact of product changes and growth experiments, proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities for accelerated growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, agility, and experimentation within the product team and across broader stakeholder groups.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related analytical field.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, growth hacking, product optimization, analytics, or related commercial roles, ideally with marketplaces, consumer-facing digital or e-commerce environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in experimentation methodologies (A/B, multivariate testing, user segmentation) and proven success implementing growth hacking strategies.
- Highly analytical mindset with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, SQL
or similar analytical platforms.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience driving revenue, customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and profitability through product optimization and growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences.
- A collaborative approach and proven ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams.
