We’re seeking a Competitive Intelligence (CI) Analyst to join MongoDB’s Product & Technical Marketing organization. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality competitive and market insights that help MongoDB win in the market. You’ll work on well-defined competitive initiatives, contribute to core CI deliverables, and partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to translate insights into actionable content.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for someone looking to deepen their CI craft while learning how competitive insights influence product strategy and go-to-market execution.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.
ResponsibilitiesResearch & Analysis
- Analyze competitor products, positioning, pricing, and messaging across the data and cloud ecosystem
- Conduct structured competitive research using defined frameworks and guidance from senior CI team members
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date competitive profiles and battlecards for assigned competitors or segments
Content Development
- Contribute to CI deliverables such as battlecards, competitor snapshots, FAQs, and internal briefs
- Translate technical concepts into clear, concise messaging for internal audiences
- Ensure CI content remains current through regular updates and reviews
Sales Enablement Support
- Support Sales and field teams with competitive insights for active opportunities
- Respond to inbound CI requests with guidance and escalation as needed
- Help ensure CI content is easy to find, understand, and apply in customer conversations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Marketing and CI teammates to support launches and GTM initiatives
- Participate in reviews with Product and Sales to validate the accuracy and usefulness of CI materials
- Timely delivery and accuracy of CI deliverables
- Adoption of CI content by Sales and PMM teams
- Contribution to win-rate improvement in competitive deals
- Consistent quality and freshness of competitive assets
- 2-3 years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, market research, software development, or a related role
- Working knowledge of the data management, cloud technology, or software development landscape
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical acumen and ability to rapidly become a proficient hands-on user of MongoDB and competing products
- Ability to execute with speed while maintaining quality
