The Role 

We are seeking a Product Manager who excels in fast-paced, flexible environments and is passionate about driving the end-to-end lifecycle management of cutting-edge products. As a Product Manager at Cubic, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, design, and other departments to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans. You will work with key stakeholders across cross functional teams and work with customers to create strategic prioritization to deliver products that provide value to our customers, ease customer pain points in addition to identifying opportunities to drive innovation and revenue.  

Responsibilities of this role: 

  • Product Expertise: Develop & maintain an expert understanding of Cubic’s products and solutions, as well as the underlying technologies in IT and wireless domains.  
  • Product Evangelism: Serve as an internal & external product consultant, educating internal stakeholders and clients on Cubic’s offerings and advocating for their adoption. 
  • Collaboration with global cross-functional teams in Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Finance, Sales & Marketing to deliver programs that meet the needs of our Customers and enable business growth. 
  • Ensure your product strategy is informed through Customer & Market awareness. Develop deep insights into customers’ goals, challenges, and roadmaps, ensuring that Cubic’s solutions align with their objectives. Research the competitive landscape, investigate market trends, and understand customer feedback to find opportunities to innovate and solve problems. 
  • In partnership with Finance, Sales & Engineering develop robust business cases to support investment in your product.  
  • Continuously evaluating the success metrics and performance of your programs to ensure they are realizing the financial and non-financial outcomes. 
  • Partnering with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Finance & Operations to ensure there are robust go-to-market strategies in place for the successful launch and ongoing success of your products.

  • Builds strong relationships – Customer and cross functional relationships are key to success in Cubic. We are looking for someone who excels at building strong productive relationships with their Customers and the wider business. 
Requirements
  • Basic Qualifications: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, Computer Science or related discipline. 
    • 5-7 years of experience in Product Management, Solution Engineering, or Solution Consulting, preferably within a SaaS organization. 
    • Experience working directly with the customers in Enterprise scale organisations on customer facing products. 
    • Experience working with Engineering & Solution architects to support the definition of system specifications based on client requirements. 
    • Strong technical background to enable understanding of Cubic’s technology domains and customer product & technology domains. 
    • Proven ability to listen effectively, ask the right questions, and champion the voice of the customer. 
    • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to generalize customer requirements into product requirements. 
    • Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
    • Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Data management and analytics methodologies, Microservice architecture and Cloud Native technologies, IoT technology stack, Wireless networks (GSM, LTE, 5G).
