We are looking for a Product Manager (Employee Benefits Solutions) who will define and execute on the strategy for Applied's Employee Benefits products. This includes tailoring the agency management system experience for Employee Benefits users, connecting carrier and partner solutions to digitize the round trip of insurance, and driving insights by leveraging Applied's portfolio of BI solutions.
Paired with our industry-leading Property and Casualty solutions, Applied's Epic portfolio will deliver agencies one view of the customer across their entire, connected book of business. Whether solving today's challenges or tomorrow's aspirations, you will work with the brightest thinkers in vertical SaaS and the insurance industry on diverse projects, creating next-generation solutions that deliver powerful business outcomes.

What You'll Do
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies while partnering with internal stakeholders and contributing to the success of our quarterly planning process
- Ensures the development team can be continually fed by planning, monitoring, and analyzing the requirements throughout the roadmap and release planning process
- Facilitate communication with internal stakeholders to determine a clear understanding of business problems that can be solved by technology solutions
- Contribute to product roadmap planning activities to ensure alignment with market demands and strategic objectives through market research to gather insights to drive data driven product development decisions.
- Defines appropriate acceptance criteria to meet business needs
- Gain alignment across the Applied product portfolio on our Employee Benefits vision and strategy to ensure we leverage our entire portfolio to deliver tailored solutions for Employee Benefits.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to develop a financially and technically feasible roadmap, including scale, security, and performance requirements, with a formal change management process.
- Develop a strong understanding of our customers' experience with our existing offerings, defining key areas of need.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to guide and influence the Employee Benefits roadmap, helping build a product our customers love.
- Drive product activation to ensure new products or features/releases are ready for on-time, in-scope delivery, including launch, training, support, marketing, messaging, sales, and other related departments.
- Own the Adoption dashboard for platform solutions - including defining measures, setting goals, reporting on progress, capturing voice of the customer, and recommending tactics to improve KPI's.
- Provide sales support by effectively communicating the value proposition of solutions to clients and prospects.
- Define detailed design specifications for software projects, leveraging your technical understanding of full-stack applications.
We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis within Agile, focusing on delivering successful data-driven products.
- Domain expertise in Employee Benefits is preferred. Accounting experience within EB is nice to have
- Proven track record in developing and implementing data-driven products and solutions.
- Strong Agile/Scrum discipline, adept at leading cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data analytics, data visualization tools, reporting tools, and tech stack; experience with Looker is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, driving the implementation of value-added features.
- Technical proficiency across full-stack applications.
- Ability to define detailed design specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Computer Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
- Experience with the Benefits Administration industry
- Insurance Carrier experience
- Experience with APIs
- Jira/Confluence experience or similar project management tools
