How you will contribute:
- Lead Process Development: Support the introduction, outsourcing, and validation of chemical processes to ensure robust and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Offer hands-on guidance to manufacturing teams, optimizing equipment and facility usage while ensuring smooth production changeovers.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and solve problems, implement process enhancements, and support risk assessments for cleaning and manufacturing.
- Execute Laboratory Projects: Conduct investigational and development work in the lab, contributing to innovation and process optimization.
- Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Perform all activities in line with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Promote Safety Culture: Champion a proactive safety mindset, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Support Training and Development: Engage in training activities for yourself and others, ensuring timely completion and accurate recording of all training requirements.
In this position you will report to the Head of Manufacturing Science.
What you bring to Takeda: g Certificate qualification or equivalent.
- Educational Background: A PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, demonstrating deep technical knowledge and research capability.
- Industry Experience: 1-2 years in a process development role within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of chemical process development, validation, and risk assessment, with hands-on lab and manufacturing experience.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement in a cross-functional setting.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations, and the ability to apply them in daily operations.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with manufacturing teams and contribute to training initiatives.
- Self-Motivation & Flexibility: Capable of working independently and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly regulated environment.
