Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.

Hybrid working arrangement, based 2 days a week on site in Cork.

Logitech is hiring a Privacy Counsel to strengthen our world class, strategic privacy function. This role reports directly to the Lead Privacy Counsel. You will be part of the Privacy & AI Governance team, which sits within the Legal team. You will draft and negotiate privacy and AI contracts, develop privacy notices, policies and provide expert advice within the Legal team and to business partners throughout the company. This is a truly global role where you will support all of Logitech’s functional teams and business groups such as Hardware, Software, Logitech for Business, Design, Digital Office and People & Culture.

Your Contribution:

  • Advise on data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses and AI terms

  • Respond to privacy specific questions in RFPs and RFIs

  • Draft and maintain appropriate procedures and playbooks for use of templates

  • Provide advice and conduct assessments on international data transfers

  • Draft and review notice and consent forms

  • Draft privacy and data protection related policies and review them against leading industry standards

  • Provide specialized and pragmatic advice on the implementation and impact of global privacy and data protection laws to product, business groups and to colleagues in the Legal team

  • Partner with technical and non-technical colleagues to identify legal requirements and best practices, and translate them into clear, actionable steps

  • Distill highly technical rules and disparate data processes into understandable terms – using plain English both for internal clients and our externally-facing documentation, such as for our Privacy Policies and Notices

  • Partner with our Privacy Operations and AI Governance colleagues to provide appropriate advice and work on projects to strengthen our Privacy & AI Governance compliance program

  • Collaborate with Legal and business groups spread across time zones – in multiple locations such as in the US, Europe and Asia

  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to provide education, resources and training on privacy and data protection

  • Keep up to date and research new legal requirements that may be applicable to Logitech’s business

Key Qualifications & experience:

  • Qualified as a lawyer and admitted to practice in a jurisdiction relevant to Logitech’s business

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant relevant privacy/data protection law experience at a law firm or in-house, ideally in a multinational technology company

  • Deep understanding of global privacy and emerging AI Governance standards and regimes including but not limited to CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, GDPR, LGPD, PIPL and EU AI Act

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Be a self-starter who works well with minimal supervision, but shows excellent judgment about when to look to managers and teammates for guidance, and when and how to communicate with diverse stakeholders

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Proactive to raise a hand and take on work, instead of expecting it to be asked

  • Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, lead & manage projects and drive/achieve results, while working autonomously

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Thoroughness and critical thinking in legal research

  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Logitech is the sweet spot for people who are passionate about products, making a mark, and having fun doing it. As a company, we’re small and flexible enough for every person to take initiative and make things happen. But we’re big enough in our portfolio, and reach for those actions to have a global impact. That’s a pretty sweet spot to be in and we’re always striving to keep it that way.

Across Logitech we empower collaboration and foster play. We help teams collaborate/learn from anywhere, without compromising on productivity or continuity so it should be no surprise that most of our jobs are open to work from home from most locations. Within this structure, you may have teams or departments split between working remotely and working in-house.
Logitech is an amazing place to work because it is full of authentic people who are inclusive by nature as well as by design. Being a global company, we value our diversity and celebrate all our differences. Don’t meet every single requirement? Not a problem. If you feel you are the right candidate for the opportunity, we strongly recommend that you apply. We want to meet you!

We offer comprehensive and competitive benefits packages and working environments that are designed to be flexible and help you to care for yourself and your loved ones, now and in the future. We believe that good health means more than getting medical care when you need it. Logitech supports a culture that encourages individuals to achieve good physical, financial, emotional, intellectual and social wellbeing so we all can create, achieve and enjoy more and support our families. We can’t wait to tell you more about them being that there are too many to list here and they vary based on location.
