We’re looking for exceptional candidates to join the EMEA SMB Solution Engineering team, aligned to the UKI Market. The Strategic Solution Engineer (SE) is responsible for presenting Salesforce’s product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, instilling confidence in our technology, and addressing all technical objections in the sales cycle. This role goes beyond traditional solution engineering to focus on SMB-specific strategy, thought leadership, and go-to-market execution. The Strategic SE must have a strong desire to leverage their technical, sales, industry and transformative expertise to drive pipeline, engage key stakeholders, and influence industry-wide digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a SMB industry thought leader with a point of view, both internally and externally
- Establish strong technical credibility and professional rapport with customers, partners, and internal collaborators.
- Contribute to pipeline creation, working closely with account teams to identify and develop new opportunities.
- Lead local industry technical go-to-market (GTM) strategies, such as Agentforce, and craft Salesforce’s industry point of view (POV).
- Develop and deliver compelling demonstrations, business value assessments, and go-to-market assets that resonate with customers.
- Engage in market awareness activities, including speaker engagements, industry forums, and thought leadership content.
- Act as the voice of UK&I customers to the Product and Global CoE teams, providing feedback to advise roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate across Salesforce’s global teams to ensure consistency in messaging, approach, and execution.
- Work with partners in the local market to align on industry messaging, competitive positioning, and ecosystem engagement.
- Provide competitive insights to help advise go-to-market positioning and customer strategies.
- Drive multiplier impact on strategic accounts, ensuring scalable success across the industry.
- Educate internal teams on industry trends, challenges, and best practices to improve collective expertise.
- Focus on strategic opportunities, accounts, and industry motions, delivering industry-specific innovation.
- Participate in all appropriate training and certifications to maintain deep product and industry expertise.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual objectives as assigned by management.
Proven experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology
Understanding of Cross Cloud technologies
Experiences in driving transformational changes across an SMB organisation.
Crucial to demonstrate an understanding of key industry processes including appropriate AI use cases
Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success for an enterprise software solution organisation. We are open to a variety of backgrounds for the role.
Shown oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
Time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energising environments.
Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge and standard processes
Willing and able to travel occasionally
