What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
  • Carry out primary research as part of the Pfizer Postdoctoral Program
  • Manage time effectively and develop short-term work plans
  • Apply technical skills and knowledge proactively in a multi-faceted project
  • Make decisions to resolve complex problems and receive guidance where appropriate
  • Work under limited supervision with periodic reviews
  • Develop scientific activities and projects to support your goals
  • Establish and execute molecular and cell-based assays across diverse technical platforms
  • Perform bioconjugation experiments and assess the functionality of both protein and non-protein components
  • Support the development and characterization of biotherapeutic drug modalities and present research results at regular group meetings to foster a collaborative and innovative environment

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
  • PhD in a relevant field (must have)
  • Strong documented experience in protein conjugation chemistry, protein purification, protein modification using enzymatic and chemical methods, and biophysical characterization
  • Expertise in click chemistry
  • Knowledge of modern mass spectrometry platforms and associated data analysis packages
  • Proficiency in assay development methodologies for binding and functional activity
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Computational skills, including the use of applications designed to evaluate, process, and manage data
  • Ability to foster a culture that values scientific excellence, urgency, and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions to resolve complex problems

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • In order to be considered for this position in Ireland you need to be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Please note there is no relocation support available for this position
