At BearingPoint we are growing quickly and we are keen to hire a Performance Test Specialist to support our projects and build our non-functional capability within the software team.
About You...You have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a performance testing, complemented by at least 6 years in overall QA. You have a strong technical background with a good understanding of performance testing concepts and tools (such as JMeter) and can create and maintain performance test scripts, execute tests, and analyse results working closely with the technical team and clients.
This role will involve:
- Gathering and analysing non-functional requirements to design effective performance test scenarios and workloads.
- Planning and executing performance test cycles using JMeter and working with clients and technical teams to identify improvements that ensure applications meet performance requirements.
- Acting as an application performance subject matter expert, providing guidance to technical teams on optimizing applications to meet performance requirements throughout the development cycle.
- Collaborating with clients and the Non-Functional Test Manager to assist in creating performance test strategies, including approach and tooling, based on clearly defined non-functional requirements.
- Supporting our Software and QA teams in advancing performance testing practices, tools, and technologies to deliver high-performing software.
- Implementing and maintaining performance testing frameworks and integrating with monitoring tools such as Grafana and InfluxDB for real-time performance metrics and analysis.
- Evaluating and recommending performance testing tools, platforms, and frameworks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for complex scripting, execution, and analysis of performance tests.
- Proficiency in configuring, monitoring and analysing performance metrics using Grafana and InfluxDB.
- Understanding and experience with Agile-based development methodologies, particularly on large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into automated workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
