About the role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operational Risk team in Risk as a Senior Associate. The Davy Risk Team help safeguard and satisfy our obligations to the Davy client base and the regulatory authorities by providing independent oversight, support and challenge to the business.   

In your role as Senior Associate, Operational Risk you will; 

  • Support the team in providing oversight and subject matter expertise for Operational Risk – including Information Technology Risk, Information Security and Cyber Risk, Change Management Risk, Third Party Management Risk.   
  • Work with senior team members, including the Head of Operational Risk on reporting to various governance Committees and the Board.  
  • Represent Davy Risk as SME on related projects and team initiatives.  
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Davy’s business operations and the regulatory framework governing its activities.  
  • Drive continuous process improvement and innovation across team activities.  
  • Assist in the enhancement of Davy’s Control Assurance Framework and ensure that the Business Units/Functions have appropriate controls in place.  
  • Enhance risk culture by promoting risk awareness and embedding Davy’s values in the business.  
  • Develop strong working relationships interdepartmentally to ensure cross functional collaboration across the organisation.  

Requirements

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: 

    • 3rd level Degree or relevant work experience in financial services /Wealth Management; 
    • Logical and solution driven;   
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills; 
    • Accuracy and attention to detail; 
    • Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines; 
    • Proven team player with a flexible attitude towards work. 
    • Willingness to take initiative and participate in projects
