As an Onboarding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that newly recruited drivers complete a structured and efficient onboarding process while meeting all quality, compliance, and operational standards. This role plays a critical role in driver activation, supporting smooth transitions from recruitment to live operations while maintaining service excellence and operational efficiency. The Quality Specialist is a hands-on role, ensuring that daily onboarding tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires attention to detail, strong process management skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain a high-quality onboarding experience for all new drivers.

Responsibilities

Onboarding Process Execution

  • Assist in processing new driver applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is verified before activation.
  • Guide drivers through the onboarding journey, ensuring they understand expectations, policies, and platform functionalities.
  • Track onboarding completion rates, identifying delays and escalating unresolved issues to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Provide support in onboarding sessions, workshops, and virtual training to ensure drivers are prepared for activation.

Maintain accurate records of onboarding progress, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Driver Engagement & Readiness

  • Conduct driver onboarding assessments to ensure drivers are adequately prepared for service operations.
  • Monitor driver engagement during onboarding, addressing concerns and questions in real-time.
  • Implement pre-onboarding readiness checks, ensuring drivers have met all necessary requirements before activation/onboarding.
  • Identify drivers needing additional support and escalate cases requiring further intervention to the Quality Supervisor.

Ensure driver understanding of platform guidelines, service standards, and compliance expectations.
Compliance & Documentation Verification

  • Verify driver compliance with regulatory requirements, including license checks, background verification, and insurance documentation.
  • Ensure all drivers meet operational and legal requirements before activation.
  • Monitor policy adherence and address non-compliant cases before onboarding completion.
  • Maintain and update structured compliance tracking systems for real-time visibility into driver status.
  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and audit documentation to support regulatory reviews.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in onboarding workflows, implementing data-driven process improvements.
  • Automate status tracking, onboarding documentation, and certification workflows.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for onboarding, ensuring structured execution.
  • Ensure continuous feedback loops between drivers, recruiting, and training teams to enhance onboarding quality.
  • Introduce gamified engagement tactics to improve driver participation and reduce onboarding drop-offs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

  • With Recruiting: Ensure seamless lead handoff, reducing onboarding delays and improving candidate experience.
  • With Live Operations: Align onboarding efforts with real-time driver supply needs to maintain service stability.
  • With Training: Coordinate driver training schedules and content delivery, ensuring onboarding quality but also at later phases training consisency.
  • With Compliance: Ensure that drivers complete and are trained in all pre-activation compliance requirements and policies before onboarded and during training periods.
  • With Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Analytics: Track onboarding performance, identify trends, and optimize processes.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in onboarding, operations, compliance, or training (mobility/logistics/gig economy preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume onboarding or support operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes and documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with digital learning tools or onboarding platforms is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus.
