About the Team
Our team of highly skilled System and Network Engineers are based in our Pleasanton (US), Dublin (IE), and Auckland (NZ) Offices.
Workday is looking for a Network Engineer (DevOps) to join our Infrastructure SRE team based in Dublin, Ireland. This position requires sophisticated knowledge of production infrastructure networking with an emphasis on operational excellence and infrastructure-as-code.
About the Role

We are instrumental in developing innovative software solutions, to build, scale, monitor, and refine our infrastructure. We'll encourage you to enhance our operational efficiency by automating processes and reducing manual effort. We also collaborate with internal teams and our customers to resolve incidents promptly, making a tangible impact on our service delivery.
About You
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or equivalent industry work experience and a minimum of 5-7 years hands-on experience supporting sophisticated large scale environments.

Proficiency in at least one of the following functional languages: Go, Python, C or Java
-
Familiarity with how to perform build automation and provisioning tasks using technologies such as terraform, chef, ansible, k8s, etc.

Knowledge of running and maintaining 24x7 Internet production environments, especially in multi-cloud datacenter setups
-
Understanding of enterprise level thinking with regards to security, scalability, performance, monitoring, reliability, documentation, root cause analysis and capacity-trending.

Extensive knowledge of Juniper, Cisco and F5 products and Large scale LAN/WAN/Backbone/ISP environments.
- Proven grasp of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, CDN, and related networking concepts.
