Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable software applications across front-end and back-end systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, architecture and quality assurance, to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop user-centred front-end interfaces and secure back-end systems.
• Implement and maintain APIs and integration solutions to support efficient data exchange between systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve agreed quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation covering code, architecture and user guidance to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.

Essential Criteria

• Proficient in multiple programming languages such as C#, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Sound understanding of software development best practices, design patterns and coding principles.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js) and associated libraries.
• Experience with back-end development frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Django, Spring) and API development (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Experience of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and data modelling.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) and agile development methodologies and tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. Microsoft Azure).
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve software issues and improve application performance and scalability.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines and automated testing.

Desirable Criteria

• Exposure to additional cloud, database or development technologies relevant to the role.
• Experience working across both front-end and back-end development environments.

Depending on business needs, the assignment may require experience in one of the following specialisms:

Front-End Specialism

• Responsive web design.
• UI/UX principles.
• Accessibility.
• Low-code platform development (e.g. Power Platform).
• Performance optimisation.

Back-End Specialism

• Server-side application development.
• Database design.
• API integration.
• SharePoint.
• Development and security best practices.

Full Stack Specialism

• Front-end and back-end development experience to deliver end-to-end solutions that support effective user experiences and efficient data management.

• Salary Range: €55,000-€70,000
