We’re seeking a future team member for the role of NAV Oversight Specialist to join our Trustee & Depositary team. This role is located in Dublin.
The Specialist in NAV Oversight is responsible for supporting the control, review, and oversight of Net Asset Value (NAV) production activities for investment funds. The role helps ensure fund valuations are accurate, timely, and compliant with client requirements, regulatory expectations, and internal control standards.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Perform oversight and review of NAV calculations completed by internal fund accounting teams or third-party administrators.
- Review valuation inputs, pricing exceptions, cash and position breaks, and other fund accounting anomalies.
- Escalate material NAV issues, breaches, and operational risks in a timely manner.
- Support the investigation and resolution of NAV errors, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor adherence to service level agreements, control procedures, and operating models.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, auditors, and external providers on NAV-related queries and issues.
- Assist in the review of fund expenses, accruals, corporate actions, and income processing as part of oversight activities.
- Maintain accurate records of oversight checks, issue logs, and evidence of control performance.
- Contribute to periodic reporting, governance packs, and management information for stakeholders.
- Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve efficiency.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in fund accounting, NAV production, fund administration, trustee/depositary oversight, or operations.
- Understanding of mutual funds, hedge funds, or other investment fund structures.
- Familiarity with NAV calculation components, including pricing, accruals, corporate actions, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify control gaps or anomalies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools.
