The mission of the Localization team is to transform how HubSpot grows internationally. By providing transparent, high-quality localization services, the team empowers and enables HubSpot’s customers and internal departments. The Multimedia Localization Specialist supports the Localization Team by creating and maintaining high-quality multimedia and DTP (Desktop Publishing) assets across our core locales.
Challenge
You will contribute to HubSpot’s globalization initiatives by supporting our team with multimedia and DTP work. This includes the preparation of files for localization and quality control. To balance the company’s need to achieve the right levels of asset quality with a steady flow of distinct projects with differing deadlines and complexity levels, you will work closely with the Linguistic Team Manager and Localization Project Managers to make sure that the in-house multimedia and DTP strategy supports our team priorities. The Multimedia Localization Specialist will also serve as an internal point of contact for multimedia and DTP tools.
Responsibilities
- Management and realization of multimedia and DTP projects in connection with translation and localization projects
- Preparation of different asset types (such as videos, e-books, graphics, and images) in different formats for translation and localization purposes
- Quality control of multimedia and DTP projects, revising assets against existing style guides, and making corrections as necessary
- Adherence to project deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality localized assets by proactively managing dependencies and addressing issues
- Support the team’s multimedia and DTP strategy by enabling both team members and stakeholders with training and documentation of best practices and processes. Promote internal knowledge and advocate for localization-friendly assets, tools, and workflows
- Adapt the in-house DTP and multimedia strategy to the Localization Team’s resourcing needs. This includes adapting the scope of responsibilities, particularly using new AI tools, to optimize and automate existing processes
Requirements
- Proficiency in editing multilingual content and using multimedia editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, as well as Canva and Figma
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the Localization industry or working with multilingual content
- Experience working with AI tools for localization, such as Gemini or Rask
- Ability to pick up new software and tools quickly is a plus
- Solid command of Microsoft Office, Google Docs Editors, and/or other IT tools
- Working knowledge of different file formats
- Experience with programming languages is beneficial
- Experience developing and implementing internal processes and best practices for graphic and multimedia production
