The eBay Network Critical Infrastructure & Engineering software team is looking for a strong developer with a passion for infrastructure lifecycle management, network monitoring, AI, and implementing creative solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Lead a project’s entire lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
Infrastructure lifecycle automation and deployment
Deployment and configuration of monitoring systems for Network Engineering
Maintain software standards and unit test coverage
Implement features and perform bug fixes in existing code base
Work with engineers to develop the most optimal solution
Documentation of software
Data modeling
Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience
2 years experience leading projects or functional areas
Experience in the following languages: Go, Java, Python
Experience in CI/CD practices
Experience with time-series database technologies (TSDB)
Experience with software development standards (SDLC)
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Preferable: Familiarity with ChatGPT or Claude Code or another LLM
Preferable: Strong knowledge of Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller
Preferable: Experience using Adobe Flex
Preferable: Solid understanding of routing and switching, TCP/IP protocol stack
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good theoretical foundation in computer science
