The MES Engineer will gather and interpret MES-related requirements, design and develop electronic batch records, support quality assurance testing, troubleshoot MES systems, and train staff on best practices. They will serve as an ambassador for the MES platform while coordinating solution testing and developing standardized dashboards.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Communicate all MES related actions within your direct team, and where necessary ensure alignment before taking action.
- Work with the business in gathering and understanding requirements and translate them into an appropriate solution within the MES system.
- Work as part of a team in designing and developing electronic batch records / work instructions within the MES solution.
- Support Quality Assurance & testing of new software/configurations ensuring traceability for new & existing Processes & Products through all stages of our manufacturing process.
- Work as part of team to select, procure, test and roll out required MES hardware and utilities to production floor in preparation for MES roll-out.
- Work as part of team to roll-out & support MES system integration on production lines & cells.
- Work as part of a team and partner with the business to design, develop and deliver changes to existing configurations.
- Work as part of a team to support, troubleshoot and resolve issues within the MES system.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure traceability of requirements.
- Provide support in trouble shooting and resolving any issues with live MES configurations.
- Support Operations teams to define a process that aligns with our MES systems & traceability strategy.
- Coordinate & participate in solution testing and ensure good testing practices are followed.
- Work to develop a standard modelling procedure that can streamline deployments and ensure common approach across all business units.
- Train and share knowledge with newly hired modelers, ensuring best practice in system configuration is followed.
- Serve as an ambassador for the MES platform - ensuring Business Needs and MES Capabilities are understood.
- Build Standardized MES Dashboard for use across the enterprise. Train Site Modelers in the use of Queries and Dashboards to retrieve and display required data sets for each specific business unit.
- The MES Engineer will provide day to day support to business units deploying or using MES, as needs arise.
Education & Experience:
- Working experience of Modelling in Critical Manufacturing MES a distinct advantage.
- 3 years + experience in systems Configuration and Modelling Experience.
- A Degree/Diploma in Engineering or IT/IS discipline an advantage.
- Experience in business process management software systems very beneficial.
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacture a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and supporting systems beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing technical solutions in a GMP environment beneficial.
- Excellent knowledge of technology trends.
- Oracle ERP experience is a plus.

- Successful Candidate must be capable of taking direction and working as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple, significant activities and respond to changing priorities with minimum disruption.
- The correct candidate should be detailed orientated and familiar with working in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong aptitude for system administration.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and driven to frequently deliver work to a high standard within challenging timelines.
- Modeling - Able to represent information using a combination of graphical and textual elements; ability to choose the correct type of model for a set of information.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate information to the appropriate level based on the audience.
- Requirements Analysis – Able to prioritize and facilitate stakeholder and solution requirements to meet the needs of the sponsoring organization and stakeholders.
- Ability to provide technical input in discussions, conference calls and meetings as related to the job responsibilities.
- Excellent computer skills, Outlook, Project, Word & PowerPoint. Advanced Excel Skills a distinct advantage.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings, models and schematics and effectively communicate technical material.
- Infrequent travel maybe required as part of this role.
