We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer whose main responsibility is to design, develop and verify the performance of mechanical components & sub-assemblies, paper handling devices and complete laser printer.  

 

Your typical day will include:  

  • Application of mechanical design principle, knowledge and skills to deliver simple to moderately complex mechanical systems meeting design requirements and product specification 

  • Generation of complete 2D, 3D and Assembly prints 

  • Generation of design ideas and concepts to meet product requirements 

  • Conducts tolerance analysis on module to system level assembly 

  • Performs root cause analysis and provides countermeasures 

  • Coordinates mechanical development activities with global cross-functional teams 

  • Verifies module and or system level design functionality and problem solution requiring test plan generation, laboratory equipment set-up, data acquisition and analysis to come up with engineering recommendations 

  • Understanding of Product Process Delivery Lifecycle, execution of the process and its design requirement 

  • Supports manufacturing build and resolve any technical issues 

  • Drives the generation and implementation of cost reduction ideas 

  • Documentation of captured learning and best practices 

  • Other related activities 

 

We invite you to join our team, if you have: 

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (degree in MS is an added advantage) 

  • Has proven extensive knowledge in hands-on laboratory mechanical work, testing methods, and root cause analysis. 

  • Computer Aided Design software proficiency 

  • Familiar with plastic and sheet metal manufacturing and design processes
