As a detail-oriented Materials Coordinator at Carbon Robotics you’ll own the flow of materials – ensuring that parts are received accurately, inventory is well organized and traceable, and work orders are closed in a timely manner to support smooth production flow and accurate material planning.

You’ll be  comfortable splitting time between the floor and the system: receiving parts, reconciling inventory, staging materials, and closing work orders in NetSuite. You’ll be part of the backbone of our operations, helping drive accuracy, throughput, and accountability as we scale.

What you’ll do:

Receiving & Material Handling

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts and materials; verify quantities and documentation against POs.
  • Work with the Purchasing and Inventory team in the US to resolve discrepancies or nonconforming material.
  • Ensure timely movement of materials from receiving to storage or production areas.
  • Maintain accurate receiving transactions in NetSuite (or ERP) and ensure traceability of serial or lot-controlled items.

Inventory Control

  • Manage daily inventory accuracy through cycle counts, bin audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Support setup and organization of warehouse locations, labeling, and storage optimization.
  • Monitor min/max and safety stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Support root-cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions.

Production Control / Work Order Management

  • Release, track, and close production work orders in NetSuite to ensure accurate material consumption and build completion.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure materials are staged and ready for each build.
  • Review open work orders weekly to confirm completion status and clear aging WOs.
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by managing disposition of affected inventory.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to maintain material flow and system accuracy.
  • Communicate material shortages, late deliveries, and work order delays proactively.
  • Provide data and support for MRP and demand planning reviews.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

  • 3+ years in receiving, inventory, or production control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, work orders, and inventory transactions.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and proactive.
  • Strong ownership mindset — takes accountability for accuracy and follow-through.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on warehouse work with system and process ownership.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication across functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Forklift certification and experience a plus.
