Description

Sama is a fast-growing, purpose-driven company that is tackling the $9 trillion employee engagement challenge. Trusted by Agoda, EQT and CVC, Sama’s B2B solution enables employers to provide all their employees hyper tailored development through access to their own professional coach via an app.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Director to come in and accelerate our growth - with a focus on demand generation and product marketing - building an inbound machine in close partnership with our sales and product teams.

We do not currently have a marketing function, so you would be coming in to own it, reporting to the CEO and founder (). We are a team of 15. We are looking for an ambitious and scrappy marketer to form a clear plan on what we need to invest in (both in terms of programs and people), quickly turning that into actions that yield leads and revenue.

As you’ll be owning marketing, the list below may change, but these are some of the things that you will likely be spending your time on:

  • Website: Manage our website, considering SEO and CRO to ensure it is an optimal shop window for our business - bringing in high-quality leads.
  • Email marketing: Run email marketing programs, including spray and pray, nurture workflows, onboarding workflows, promotional campaigns and much more.
  • Sales enablement: You understand that partnering with sales is key - working hand in hand to ensure they have what they need to successfully convert leads into deals, and deals into revenue.
  • Content creation: Create high-quality assets such as sales decks, white paper, lead, magnets, one pagers, social posts and blog posts that engage our ICP and can be used at different points in the funnel.
  • Paid strategy: Own our paid ad spend, creating assets with high-quality copywriting, analyzing results and optimizing campaigns.
  • Marketing ops and automation: Use tools such as HubSpot and Apollo to keep our CRM clean and support future lead scoring efforts, using workflows and target accounts functionalities.

You are:

  • Extremely curious. You want to understand our customer problems and ecosystem in depth, not just at a surface level. You regularly listen to customer call recordings, attend industry events. This curiosity enables you to feel comfortable pitching Sama yourself, and are able to handle objections / ask great qualification questions.
  • Data-driven. You regularly spend time looking at the data relating to customers and campaigns, ensuring that future campaign topics and investment is based on a wide range of data (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Creative. You bring fresh ideas and are able to turn them into catchy copywriting and design assets. You don’t need to rely on designers.
  • AI-enabled. You use AI in your day-to-day to enable faster delivery. It doesn’t do your job for you, but it allows you to get more done more effectively in pursuit of our revenue targets.
  • High-energy. You have a startup mentality and bring high levels of energy to ensure we’re constantly upping our game. You have a superb work ethic - working smart and spending time on the things that will bring results.
  • Commercial. You understand that marketing exists to drive revenue and partner with our sales team to ensure we focus on the important metrics (not vanity metrics).
  • Roll up your sleeves attitude. You are not above any job and are always willing to get stuck into a more challenging task / learn something new.
  • Accountable. You believe in extreme ownership and are happy to be accountable for our pipeline generation and marketing-sourced revenue numbers.
  • Growth mindset. You choose to work in a startup because you know that you can grow faster vs roles in larger companies. It’s fast-paced and there is uncertainty, but you thrive in this environment because it forces you out of your comfort zone.

You need:

  • Experience in B2B marketing.
  • Experience in HR tech is a nice-to-have, but not fundamental.
  • Some experience in the tools we use (or similar ones), including WordPress, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), HubSpot, Miro, Google Workspace, Figma, Loom, Apollo, Cognism.

What you’ll receive:

  • Base Compensation between €60,000 and €70,000 + performance based bonus
  • Fully Remote working within -2/+2 GMT time zone.
  • Plenty of room for growth as our ambitious team grows too.
  • Access to your professional coach via our app.
  • Regular training and development.

Why join us?

As a team, we're genuinely driven by our shared values:

  • Adaptable: Creativity, flexibility, and efficiency in responding to challenges.
  • Strive for Greatness: Pushing ourselves to deliver outstanding performance in everything we do.
  • Inclusive: Supporting and embracing diversity of thought, culture, and background.
  • Honest: Always transparent and truthful.
  • Fun: Fostering connection through a playful approach.

About Your Application:

Please submit your application in English, as it's our company language, and you'll be using it extensively if you join us
