About the Role - Mat Leave Cover:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic marketing leader to manage and grow the Services & Solutions division, with a specific focus on the establishment and growth of OSS (One Stop Shop) and net-zero categories. This role will involve working closely in tandem with the Marketing Manager, overseeing the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for Services & Solutions, while managing a marketing budget of approximately €2 million. You will play a key role in driving the growth of new services, ensuring alignment with the company's sustainability and net-zero ambition. Additionally, you will manage a Design Executive and work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact campaigns that align with business objectives. You will drive marketing initiatives that promote sustainability and net-zero solutions, positioning Bord Gáis Energy as a leader in energy efficiency. 

Key activities will include developing and executing TTL campaigns (Through-the-Line)  for Local Heroes and net-zero solutions, ensuring high-impact messaging that aligns with the brand’s voice across digital, above-the-line, and below-the-line channels. You will be managing key strategic partnerships to ensure marking campaigns align with partner goals, and building and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors. As Marketing Communications Manager, you will track, analyse and report on key performance metrics, including customer acquisition, retention, and sustainability brand metrics, and report regularly on the Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and overall campaign performance, providing actionable insights for optimization. providing actionable insights for optimization. You will ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget, reporting regularly on budget allocation and spend. This role is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in office 2-3 days a week.

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of the Irish energy market, particularly in energy services, operational services solutions (OSS), and sustainability. 

  • Proven experience in managing a €2 million marketing budget and driving impactful, cost-effective campaigns and ensuring cost-effective and successful campaign delivery. 

  • Extensive experience in campaign development, utilizing a mix of digital, ATL, and BTL techniques. 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior marketing roles, ideally within the energy sector or similar industries, with experience in service-based businesses. 

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor marketing teams. 

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Results-driven, commercially focused leader with a strong sense of initiative. 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and third-party agencies, ensuring consistent and high-quality execution across all campaigns.
