We are hiring a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team in Ireland or the UK.

Let’s talk about the role:

The primary role of Marketing Automation specialist is to analyze, design, develop, and maintain applications based on business requirements across business functions and regions. Key deliverables include defining data flows into and out of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Dotdigital), building integrations with marketing automation platforms to enable seamless campaign execution, troubleshooting related queries, and acting as point of contact for new functionality and configuration. This person will also work closely with key stakeholders, technical teams, and system administrators to define and document specifications, workflows, and schedules.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

  • Work in coordination with business units to understand platform requirements and advise on how requirements can best be satisfied

  • Create workflows, templates, and automated processes to run email, OTT, and SMS campaigns efficiently

  • Develop custom solutions (e.g., AMPscript) for email personalization and advanced dynamic content use cases

  • Implement extensive knowledge to develop and trigger automations for marketing automation platforms enabling seamless customer experiences across touchpoints including email, mobile, advertising, web, direct mail, sales, commerce, and service

  • Provide support to digital marketing team members across regions including North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia to resolve issues with Marketing Cloud and related applications

  • Configure complex automations and journey builds

  • Monitor performance and maintain marketing automation platform systems according to business requirements

  • Create, modify, and update reports, dashboards, objects, fields, etc. for business stakeholders

  • Perform day-to-day administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of marketing automation platforms

  • Create and manage users; maintain user roles, profiles, access controls, security settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules, and Security)

  • Research and recommend innovative and possible automated approaches for system administration tasks

  • Liaison with cross-functional teams to secure support for solutions

  • Understand data segmentation and cross-platform integrations (e.g., Marketing Cloud Connect)

  • Collaborate and train other team members

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related analytical field

  • 2-4 years developing and executing emails and CRM campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Dotdigital

  • Proficient in writing custom SQL, AMPScript, and troubleshooting marketing automation platform challenges

  • Comfort developing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, reporting or consumer insights

  • Knowledge of best practices in email marketing, marketing automation, and customer retention, as well as the ability to communicate them to others

  • Highly detail-oriented analytical approach and comfortable suggesting improvements

  • Ability to work autonomously with little guidance to meet project deadlines

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications preferred
