This Position reports to:

The Marketing Development Manager leads channel sales execution for ABB’s Electric Vehicle Charging (EVC) portfolio, driving market penetration, profitable growth, and strong commercial alignment across Ireland. This role acts as a key partner to Sales and Marketing, providing technical expertise, channel leadership, and market insight to strengthen ABB’s position in the rapidly growing EV charging sector.

Working within ABB’s E-mobility business, you will support channel partners, guide commercial strategy, and influence customer decisions through deep technical knowledge and strong relationship building.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
 

  • Act as a key liaison for channel partners, ensuring alignment with ABB’s EVC sales strategy and market goals.

  • Implement channel sales plans, budgets, and business development activities to drive growth, profitability, and market share.

  • Support Sales with product, market, and technical expertise, enabling accurate solutions, proposals, and negotiations.

  • Develop and manage offers, frame agreements, pricing structures, and commercial terms to meet volume and margin targets.

  • Identify, evaluate, and support training/certification of channel partners to strengthen their capabilities and performance.

  • Monitor channel activity, analyze performance, and drive corrective actions to improve outcomes and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to execute channel-focused communication, promotions, and training initiatives.

  • Build strong customer and partner relationships, identifying new opportunities and influencing key decision-makers.

Qualifications for the Role
  • 3rd-level qualification in Engineering or related technical field

  • 3+ years’ experience in EV charging or related infrastructure

  • Strong knowledge of EV charging systems and the Irish EVC market

  • Proven influencing, presentation, and communication skills

  • Experience delivering customer-focused technical and commercial solutions

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SFDC
