About the Role
Dandy is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join our onsite team in Lehi, UT. This role will focus on implementing and sustaining automation equipment, by working in close collaboration with the manufacturing and automation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechatronics and a hands-on approach to process engineering. The role is critical in sustaining automated systems to achieve high-quality standards in the dental industry.
What You'll Do

Support the implementation of automation projects from concept to commissioning.

Follow timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within the manufacturing budget

Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet design specifications and performance requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems into existing manufacturing processes.

Provide training and support to operations teams on the use and documentation for standard procedures.

Innovate low cost PoC to improve quality, efficiency, ergonomics and safety.

Assist process engineers with control and data collection systems
What We're Looking For

B.S in Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering; or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience in PLC , C/C++ , HMI
-
Strong experience in arduino, electrical PoC with Dandy speed implementation.

Strong technical skills and ability to understand complex automation systems.

Knowledge of CPK, OEE, Yield and availability for machine metrics.

Experience participating in FAT, SAT and machine buyoff at vendor sites.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Provide on-call support during equipment implementation
-
Identify and outline steps to troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures.
