This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to join FARO’s Digital Organization. FARO is looking to expand its Business Applications capabilities in Porto and is looking for a dynamic and talented leader to help grow the team. You will be responsible for building and leading a high performing team of analysts and developers.

The role will be located in a FARO delivery center in Porta. In addition to providing Sales and Distribution solution and service leadership, the incumbent will also be responsible for supporting and providing leadership to other technology resources located in the delivery center and outside of SAP Sales and Distribution.

FARO is looking for a Manager, Information Technology to work from our office in Portugal. This will be considered a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2- 3 days in the office weekly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead a team of IT professionals and manage performance 

  • Drive the translation of business needs into technical requirements, functional specifications, architectures, and implementation of concepts  

  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on architecture, design and implementation 

  • Foster technical decision making on the team, make final decisions when necessary 

  • Lead the team to technical excellence 

  • Champion a continuous improvement mentality monitoring and implementing necessary changes 

  • Participate in development of long-term vision and planning of new services/capabilities and communicate to the team  

  • Ensure adherence to standards 

  • Represent the team’s interests within the FARO Porto site and the Global Digital Organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree- Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent technical degree preferred

  • 10+ years of SAP Sales & Distribution functional experience in a sales and distribution environment and preferably, in a contract manufacturing environment

  • 5+ year SD function in S4 HANA environment including leading contractors and AMS

  • 3 full life cycle SD implementation experience

  • At least 10 years delivering projects, enhancements and supporting sustainment

  • Experienced in facilitating and leading design and design workshops, requirements capture, configuration, testing, deployment and hyper-care

  • Experienced driving end-to-end process design and integration

  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written, verbal, listening and critical thinking 

  • Prior Experience with SAP SD configuration and interfaces is preferred

  • Flexibility during organizational and/or business changes 

  • Customer Service oriented 

  • Effectively disseminates information to appropriate audiences  

  • Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis skills. Able to readily diagnose system deficiencies  

  • Demonstrated management & organizational skills enabling real time prioritization with a strong ability for holding the team accountable to results 

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and manage technical projects, including identification of project scope, requirements, deliverables, and coordination of project design and implementation activities 

  • Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role 

  • Strong experience in agile development methodologies 

  • Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate and develop direct reports
