Title and Summary

Manager, Global SME - Mid-Market Lead

Your role in 30 secs:
The mid-market segment represents 1% of the total small and medium businesses but 30% of the global workforce and about 30% of the global Gross Domestic Product. They spend around $17.9T between account payable and commercial PoS.
Grow and develop Mastercard’s Products and Solutions for medium size business segment globally by working cross functionally across global and regional product teams, sales, Marketing, Product Development and other functional partners like D&S and C&I.
Understand the needs of this unique segment that is usually lost/blurred between small and large business but has unique characteristics of its own. Build upon a strong existing product suite and business relationships to drive innovations by launching new products and services across the product lifecycle and adopting new business models. Help embrace new networks and build new service revenue streams to underscore Mastercard’s thought and service leadership in the Small & Medium Business Segment.
You are part of a curious, diverse and dynamic team consisting of account managers, business development, product managers, marketing, technical experts and consultants.
Things you do:
• Develop and execute our mid-size business product strategy globally
• Execute Global mid-size opportunity: deliver against the mid-size business product launch plan. Work with peers in adjacent functions to “connect the dots” to vividly sketch out a compelling vision of a world beyond cash
• Lead strategic projects and be a pioneer in the field of product differentiation and innovation, also plugging our product development agenda
• Work with product and account teams to build exciting customer pitches including defining the value proposition, business case and overall storyline
• Develop understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle, actively work to improve user experience and processes
• Own and manage product documentation ensuring it is clear and easily consumable by product, cross-functional and engineering teams
• Be the ambassador of mid-size business products globally: educate and inspire the team and market about the value or of our mid-size business solutions suite
• Plan and track our product performance and how we perform against targets
• Stay curious: watch the market, watch trends and bring new ideas to the table on how we can differentiate, grow and innovate our product universe
Things we expect:
• Self-starting, scrappy and analytical problem-solving capacity
• Interest and passion for payments, banking, financial services, e-commerce and all things digital.
• Experience in banking, strategy/consultancy or financial products targeting mid-size business is a plus
• Ingenuity, curiosity, agility, creativity and a real team player attitude
• Business acumen with the ability to create and communicate solutions that meet real customer needs – excellent command of the relevant business tools such xls. and ppt.
• Ability to effectively work and build relationships in multicultural matrix organization
• A good sense of humor paired with strong work ethic and ambition to “make a difference”
