The day to day.

Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers working on the NetSuite platform.

Provide technical direction and strategic input on new features, system design, and product improvements.

Leading all aspects of a team of engineers and helping ensure their productivity, happiness, and personal growth at WP Engine.

Your skills and expertise.
Minimum qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering management or leadership role.

You love helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and provide solutions within a fast paced company
-
Adopt and be a strong advocate for DevOps practices across the team.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).

Experience as a software engineer and can understand the details of the team’s work.

Strong background in OOP and SOLID principles, especially as applied to modern development practices associated with Javascript, C#, Python and APIs

You are a lifelong learner, particularly as it relates to building a remarkable and enviable engineering team and processes.
Desirable Qualifications:

Prior experience working within a development team delivering solutions using C#, Python and/or Java,

Experience with delivering API integrations with cloud-based solutions such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk

Experience in leading geographically distributed teams.

Strong background in API design, integrations, and microservices architectures.

Previous experience in a scaling SaaS company.
