Join ICON’s Finance Business Partnering team in Project Finance and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and driving business performance. As Manager, Finance Business Partnering in Dublin, you will support our Biotech division and partner with senior leaders to deliver actionable insights, optimize study financial processes, and support critical decision-making. Your work will directly influence financial outcomes, streamline operations, and contribute to ICON’s continued growth.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Reporting on the performance of the Biotech portfolio by providing ongoing financial analysis, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks for presentation to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights that support business strategy and decision-making.
- Managing and improving complex study financial processes, including study setup, closure, and financial management across the study lifecycle.
- Building strong relationships with department heads and becoming a trusted adviser for all key stakeholders throughout the IBT network and other divisions, including Operations, Billing, Project Finance, and Investigator Payments.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize financial efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
- Acting as a mentor to Finance colleagues to support performance, professional development, and team growth.
- Developing reporting schedules, financial reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Key Requirements:
- This role is ideally suited to an FP&A professional or finance business partner who thrives in a commercially driven, insight-led environment.
- Proven experience in financial analysis of large data sets, and study performance, with exposure to complex process improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate and present complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modelling).
- Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business. Strong analytical mindset, organization and problem-solving skills.
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and a degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
