Why this role?
We’re seeking an experienced and collaborative Engineering Manager to lead our 'Engine' team of 8 Software Engineers in Lisbon. This role involves leading the team scaling our next-gen DAST solution - Snyk API & Web - built for the future of AI-powered software development.
What You’ll Do:
- You’ll be accountable for co-developing the team roadmap and supporting technical direction.
- Ensure new team members are onboarded, effectively contributing to the expected level and supporting existing team members to do their best work.
- Coach direct reports through productive feedback, building on strengths and addressing areas of development.
- Help the team learn, adapt and improve upon agile and lean methodologies. You’ll help the team understand and maintain a balance between delivery speed and product quality.
- You’ll be responsible for the team’s on-call process and rota, and be a point of escalation for incidents.
- You’ll be a key part of applying our Product Led Growth practices to identify, measure and constantly improve our platform through experimentation.
- Partake in hands-on coding as needed, including code reviews.
