About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, EMEA Payroll (3PP) to join our team. Our employees are at the core of our business which means the ideal candidate has a passion for managing and motivating people, growing talent, and building high performing teams

 Roles and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Mentor direct reports by being a role model for the team and develop a keen sense of shared team vision
  • Payroll Processing: Manage overall operations of payroll for between 10-15 countries across EMEA region. Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees, complying with local regulations and tax laws.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Staying up to date with labor laws and tax regulations in various countries and ensuring compliance with local authorities. Ensuring all payroll regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time
  • Data Management: Maintaining confidential employee data, including payroll records, tax information, and other relevant details.
  • Communication: Collaborating with peer Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, and other departments to manage payroll-related inquires, resolve issues, and provide assistance to employees. 
  • Partner with other Workday teams to design and implement cross-functional process improvements, uptake new system functionality and support initiatives that scale with business growth.
  • Technology and Automation: Utilizing payroll software and automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Budgeting: Assisting in managing the payroll budget and forecasting future payroll expenses.
  • Vendor Management: Overseeing relationships with payroll service providers and ensuring their adherence to service level agreements.
  • Training and Development: Providing training and support to payroll staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to optimize processes and enhance the overall payroll function.
  • Oversee internal and cross-functional projects on the third-party payroll team. Contribute prioritization and make commitments to the cross-functional project roadmap
  • Create and maintain visibility to operational and project status for leadership

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of increasing experience in a high growth or public company, at least +2 years in a team lead / manager function in international payroll
  • Bachelor’s degree

Other Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws in various countries.
  • Prior experience in managing payroll for employees across multiple countries is highly desirable. Experience with different payroll systems and understanding of diverse payroll practices is valuable.
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Considerable experience effectively leading projects
  • Detail oriented, accurate and organized
  • Ability to prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Shows initiative, flexibility, and follow-through
  • Customer service focused, and solution oriented
  • Ability to work cross-culturally with internal and external partners in other countries
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting, HCM and payroll systems
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and other Microsoft Office
