Job Summary

The Manager, Compensation EMEA is responsible for managing the compensation function and supporting HR Business Partners in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This role develops, implements and administers compensation programs, policies and procedures to make Nidec standout as an employer of choice.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs for employees in the EMEA region.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with market competitive compensation practices.
  • Provides consultation to HR Business Partners and management on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans for the EMEA region.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting compensation data.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure competitive and cost-effective compensation practices are maintained.
  • Ensures compliance with country and local compensation laws and regulations for EMEA countries.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of country and local employment regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation for EMEA countries.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to evaluate complex data sets, consolidate and present data in an easy to understand format.
  • Advanced proficiency and data analysis skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate proficiency in other Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with HR business partners and management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, human resources or other related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation
  • 1+ year managing subordinates preferred
  • Certified compensation professional credentials preferred.
  • Workday experience preferred.
