Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Business Continuity to join our team and help ensure ICON is prepared to respond effectively to business interruptions. You will collaborate with department leadership and the executive team to develop, implement, and maintain strategies that protect our operations, staff, and clients. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in business continuity planning, risk assessment, and recovery strategy implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and implement business continuity and recovery strategies – ensure the organization can continue critical operations during unexpected disruptions and minimize operational impact.

  • Recommend and assist with recovery solutions – provide practical strategies that allow the business to restore services quickly and efficiently after an incident.

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of Business Continuity Management Software (BCMS) – streamline continuity processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of BC planning.

  • Conduct Business Impact Analyses and assess key processes – identify critical functions and vulnerabilities to prioritize continuity efforts where they matter most.

  • Design, develop, and document department-level Business Continuity plans – provide clear, actionable guidance to teams to ensure consistent preparedness across the organization.

  • Plan, conduct, and debrief mock-disaster exercises – test and refine BC plans to ensure they are practical, effective, and actionable in real-life scenarios.

  • Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions – equip staff with the knowledge and skills needed to respond confidently during disruptions.

  • Monitor internal and external risks to operations – proactively identify threats to prevent or mitigate business interruptions.

  • Support client and sponsor RFIs, audits, and compliance requests – demonstrate ICON’s commitment to quality, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

  • Mentor and train new Business Continuity team members – ensure knowledge transfer and build a skilled, resilient BC team.

  • Assist with Facilities-led initiatives – contribute expertise to broader organizational resilience efforts and support cross-functional objectives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business continuity planning, risk management, or related fields.

  • Proven expertise in business continuity planning, project management, and problem resolution.

  • Thorough knowledge of Business Continuity SOPs/WPs and Good Practice Guidelines.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and recommend recovery solutions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% internationally and domestically.

  • Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus.
