What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Accounting to play a key role in our financial operations. In this hands-on role, you will lead the company’s month-end close activities and oversee daily accounting operations while ensuring statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Managing a team of two accountants and a senior accountant, you will provide strategic guidance and operational oversight to drive accuracy and efficiency.
Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance in Dublin, you will leverage your strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and results-driven mindset to enhance our accounting function. Your responsibilities will include managing payroll accounting, overseeing flux reporting, coordinating the close process, and collaborating closely with external auditors and advisors. What you’ll be working on
- Lead a team of two accountants and a senior accountant, collaborating daily.
- Manage month-end deliverables, including reviewing and approving entries and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Oversee payroll accounting, including compensation entries, accrued bonus and sabbatical, equity entries, and payroll-related reconciliations, working closely with the payroll team for accuracy.
- Prepare and approve journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations, particularly accrued compensation accounts.
- Review and consolidate monthly flux analysis reporting.
- Ensure accuracy in local financial statements, reviewing statutory adjustments and preparing bridge files from US GAAP to IFRS or local GAAP.
- Lead engagements with external auditors and advisors for global audits and local filings, coordinating cross-functionally to meet deadlines.
- Develop and refine accounting procedures with a focus on internal controls.
- Provide accounting policy guidance to other departments and apply recommendations to operational issues.
- Manage global accounting projects, collaborating with tax, treasury, legal, and HR teams.
- Partner with the financial systems team to implement configuration changes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
We’d love to hear from people with
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with 8-10 years of progressive post-qualified experience
- Proven people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams
- Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS reporting
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Strong background working with external auditors and advisors; experience with Irish, UK, US, Australian, or Indian audits is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and accurately under deadlines
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar cloud-based accounting software; Blackline experience is a plus
- High-energy, hands-on approach with a proactive mindset
