The Managed Services Solutions Architect designs scalable managed service solutions, collaborates with teams, and engages with customers to meet their needs.
We are seeking an experienced Managed Services Solutions Architect to join our Dublin-based team. This is a key technical and customer-facing role responsible for shaping and defining end-to-end managed service offerings across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise application environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with sales, service delivery, and operations teams to design scalable, cost-effective managed service solutions that meet customer requirements and align with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Develop and document managed service solutions across infrastructure, cloud, network, and application portfolios.
- Produce technical and service designs, transition plans, and supporting documentation for bids and customer proposals.
- Ensure all solutions align with corporate standards, compliance, and best practice frameworks (ITIL, ISO27001, etc.).
- Pre-Sales & Bid Support:
- Work closely with the sales and bid teams to respond to RFPs/RFQs.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to capture business and technical requirements.
- Define service scope, SLAs, and operational support models tailored to each client’s needs.
- Governance & Delivery Support:
- Support service transition into operational delivery teams, ensuring solutions are robust, well-documented, and deliverable.
- Participate in service reviews, technical governance boards, and continual improvement initiatives.
- Customer Engagement:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, demonstrating thought leadership in managed and cloud services.
- Present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, or equivalent role within a Managed Services or MSP environment.
- Proven experience designing managed service solutions (e.g. infrastructure, cloud, network, or end-user services).
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based service delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Experience with service transition, operational readiness, and governance processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical detail with commercial and customer perspectives.
Desirable Skills
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. ITIL Foundation, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, or equivalent).
- Experience within large enterprise or public-sector environments.
- Knowledge of Irish and EU data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of automation, monitoring, and service management tooling (e.g. ServiceNow, SolarWinds, etc.).
