As a Logistics Analyst, you are in a unique position to bridge the gap between the worlds of business and analytics to drive profitable action. You speak enough of the language of both the business side and the numbers side to ensure all parties understand requirements and strategies to be profitable. You can tell the story of the business you support to provide clear answers and direction for business owners and execution teams. You don't take the status quo as a given and encourage innovation. The purpose of this position is to provide customer focused analytics to assist in maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the logistics operation and provide customers with detailed analysis they need to operate their supply chain. Develop and maintain recurring and on demand reports for customers and customer service teams. This is includes service and transportation cost metrics. Daily the role utilizes financial, logistical and procurement databases to assist in the development of reporting. You should have a forward thinking, results oriented approach to provide creative solutions and Tableau dashboards to answers business questions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Review customers' requests for proposals, analyze data, and develop and optimize transportation.
- Develop and maintain recurring and on demand reports.
- Work with account executives, operations management, and internal departments to develop optimal strategy for freight management business design.
- Utilize financial, logistical, and procurement databases to assist in the development and integration of operational efficiencies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience essential. Microsoft Access/similar database experience a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statements.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain all aspects of work performed to Management, Account Executives, and customers.
- Transportation knowledge/experience preferred.
- Self starter with ability to manage RFP/Pricing Process and startup process for new business.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- One to two years statistical analyst experience such as accounting/finance preferred.
- One to two years personal computer experience. (MS Excel).
- Six months to one year transportation experience preferred.
