Job Description

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This role is not open to relocation.  Only candidates who have residency and right to work in the Isle of Man can be considered.

To provide efficient lending offering to PPB clients, in collaboration with the Business Dev Managers, contribute to the service delivery of client centred, coordinated solutions to enable a positive client experience.  To grow the loan book by reviewing the product set and identifying opportunities for additional or more efficient debt structuring for clients to contribute to the overall profitability of the business.  Responsible for structuring new loans, pricing, drafting legal documentation, fulfilling of conditions & distributing funds, maintenance/servicing/settlement of loans and proposing of credit applications to the Credit team/Committee.   

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 

  • Degree in Business Commerce 

Experience Required :

  • 5 - 7 years experience in Investment Banking, General banking experience with exposure to the entire retail banking value chain and 5 years of exposure to credit. Clear understanding of lending value proposition and delivery strategy as well as thorough knowledge of the code of banking practice.

  • Manage and assist with New and expired facilities
  • Understanding and experience of cost of capital
  • Handle credit applications all the way  through to committee
  • Deal and manage: High volume, Low value

Key Outputs :

  • Act as the first line of defence, ensuring quality control and risk management
  • Adjudicate contentious issues between the client, the credit division and the Bus Dev Manager and encourage solutions
  • Advise BDM and clients on the suite of lending products and recommend the most suitable product to meet their specific needs
  • Conduct a thorough needs analysis to identify customer needs effectively when opening new accounts or giving product advice
  • Encourage the credit division to turnaround applications promptly and in line with service levels agreement
