Type of contract: Fulltime / permanent

Location: Germany – Munich, Marburg or Hattersheim

We are looking for a Legal Counsel Enterprise Contracting EMEA to join our Enterprise Contracting Center. In this role, you will provide pragmatic legal advice, negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, and drive contracting excellence across the EMEA region while supporting digital transformation, automation, and AI-enabled contracting solutions.

The Role: 

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements across the EMEA region, including (Master) Services Agreements, Healthcare Professional and Health Care Organization agreements, Patient agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, and related contracts.
  • Provide practical, risk-based legal advice that supports business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders throughout the entire contract lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.
  • Deliver training and guidance to business partners on contracting topics and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and legal innovation.
  • Support the implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management tools and AI-enabled contracting solutions.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues and business partners across multiple countries and cultures throughout the EMEA region. 

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified lawyer with the required legal qualifications to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or international corporate environment.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracting, contract drafting, and negotiations.
  • Fluency in German and English. Additional EMEA language skills are an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and provide clear, actionable advice.
  • Experience working across jurisdictions and in multicultural environments.
  • Interest in legal technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
  • Exposure to legal operations, legal engineering, process optimization, or design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management systems and digital contracting solutions.
