Job Description:
The Learning Technology Manager will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of digital learning platforms and technologies within the organization. This role ensures that technology supports and enhances the organization’s learning and development (L&D) strategy, delivering effective and scalable learning experiences. The Learning Technology Manager will work closely with teams such as instructional designers, commercial, DT, HR Operations and Data and Analytics to select, integrate, and manage the systems and partners that deliver learning programs at Mars.What are we looking for?

- Superior problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage vendor relationships.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in managing enterprise-level LMS and LXP platforms
- Familiarity with API integrations, SSO (Single Sign-On), and cloud-based learning platforms.
- Knowledge of learning analytics, data reporting tools, and user experience best practices.
- Understanding of compliance requirements, such as GDPR, SCORM/xAPI, and data security protocols.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Technology & Process Implementation:
- Oversee the deployment, integration, and maintenance of learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), content delivery and development platforms, assessment and collaboration tools. (e.g. Workday Learning, EdCast, LinkedIn Learning, Power Apps, Sharepoint, eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Rise, and other Content Library Providers)
- Evaluate and recommend new learning technologies, ensuring they meet organizational requirements for functionality, security, and scalability.
- Design and implement learning technology processes that sustain the work needed to ensure the learning technology ecosystem supports the function.
- Platform Management & Optimization:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of learning platforms, including user management, troubleshooting, and content delivery.
- Oversee integration of third-party tools, plugins, and content into the LMS and other learning platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with vendors to ensure high availability and functionality.
- Partner with P&O Solutions and DT on opportunities with platforms outside of MGS Learning that use Learning, e.g. Workday Learning.
- Learning Experience Design:
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to support the creation of engaging, technology-driven learning experiences.
- Ensure that learning technologies are optimized for accessibility, user experience (UX), and learner engagement.
- Own and support the deployment plans for all technology-enabled learning assets.
- Data, Analytics, & Reporting:
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to learning technology usage, learner engagement, and system performance.
- Provide data-driven insights and reports to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes.
- Ensure the collection and management of learner data adheres to organizational and regulatory data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, FERPA).
- Technical Support & Training:
- Serve as the primary or escalated point of contact for technical support related to learning technologies.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, user guides, and documentation for administrators, instructors, and learners.
- Support onboarding of new users and provide ongoing technical assistance to internal teams and external learners.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- In collaboration with the commercial team, manage contracts and relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational needs.
- Participate in contract negotiations, budgeting, and vendor selection for new learning technology tools and platforms.
- Cross-functional collaboration with P&O Solutions and Digital Technology on technology that impacts Learning.
- Compliance & Security:
- Ensure learning technologies comply with internal policies, security standards, and data protection regulations.
- Oversee regular audits and updates to ensure platforms meet technical, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with the DT department to manage software updates, patches, and system enhancements.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
