As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of both technical and non-technical training programmes. You will work closely with departments across the organisation to assess training needs, create tailored content, and manage the entire learning lifecycle. The Learning & Development Specialist will report to the Learning & Development Lead.


Requirements

Role Requirements & Responsibilities

· Develop engaging course content and training programmes for both technical and non-technical staff.

· Manage and enhance the use of our learning platform, Moodle, to support training initiatives.

· Schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring timely delivery and completion across the business.

· Track and report on training participation, progress, and outcomes.

· Support onboarding programs and role-based training pathways.

· Conduct learning needs analyses using data, stakeholder input, and performance metrics.

· Measure training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance data.

· Support general training requirements and contribute to the overall learning strategy.

· Stay updated with industry trends and ensure continuous improvement of learning materials and methods.

· Ensure that learning solutions align with business goals and performance requirements.

· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and organisational policies.

Candidate Requirements

This role is for someone who is passionate about learning and development, has a strategic approach to building workforce capability, and thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have:

· Proven experience in course content creation and training programme development for diverse audiences.

· Strong knowledge of Moodle or other learning management systems.

· A solid understanding of technical and non-technical learning needs.

· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a training schedule and meet deadlines.

· Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong collaborative mindset & an ability to network with multiple departments

· An eagerness to contribute to general training requirements and promote a culture of continuous learning.

· Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
